I am trying to fine information on my late Father's deer gun. He bought it many years ago off a guy in a bar for $15. It is a Marlin Model 93 Carbine. It has a 20" octagon barrel and a 2/3 length magazine. It is in .32 Special caliber. Case hardened receiver, steel curved butt plate, and what appears to be a dark oil finish. Serial number is A2XX. Flies in the ointment are: It was drilled and tapped for scope mounts, and it has 6 tacks in the comb for "deer kills". I did an internet search for serial numbers, but the one site I keep getting sent to says the gun with 2XX was made before 1883, which is not right for this rifle. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks
