I got him my 2nd day out during firearms season at about 80 yards with the 30-06. Shot him in the neck and he dropped where he stood. I'm going to have him shoulder mounted

I know how good it feels to get one of the big daddies of the woods. I have seen a herd of 13 other bucks all crowded around the big one I got in 85, just before opening day. I just went to the same area and he came out of a bedding area right at dawn. I saw the antlers and got all buck fevered...but AFTER I saw him hit the ground. Unbelievable feeling. Ya dun good sir. Congrats.

I know what you are saying. I have been down for 3 years. This year I am finally getting the OOmpah to go out there and hunt. Next year looks even better.
