Welcome to the forum Your going to enjoy that rifle
I have yet to actually fire it. I guess I was swayed by the reputation of the Ruger and the accessories for it. Even still, I had the opportunity to go in and buy the 795 twice but something just let me away. Perhaps if the 795 came in a wood stock. I know I can probably find one aftermarket, but the XT was there with the long barrel and wood stock and it just felt awesome. I have heard the Promag 25 clips will work as they do with the 795 and the 925. Is the true? Also picked up a relatively cheap center point scope with it. Figured out the mount.Welcome to the forum. Do you wonder why you waited so long for your first Marlin?

Thank you. I am getting there. The bolt action took a bit of getting used to. I was used to the Ruger semi. My son was using that. I do still see the 795 and Model 60 in my future. I would like them both to have in my meager collection. Not bad shootin'...!!
