So it's out with the "treddlly", my push bike
First 30 minutes.... awesome !
thighs .... Still a little stiff

Then it set in...... My "slug went numb", and I got 4 miles (6km) to go, and my new ache, dwarfed my sore thighs. And "little Bucky" was screaming for relief.
So it was Into the bike shop, "it's the seat", says the owner... I believe you, now fix it.
Now I have a seat with the centre missing, and my "slug" and prostrate can travel in peace

I love technology

You and me both Brother! I had a cycling accident in college on a bike with stirrups that put me "tight against the bar". I was unconscious for three days (due to my head injury - 30+ years ago-no helmet) and came to when I heard the doctor say, "If he doesn't wake up soon, we'll have to catheterize him." Great incentive to wake up and go to the head - that's when I remembered the "bar" - Ouch! About a month later, I was again able to sing bass and I have subsequently fathered two wonderful kids so no real harm done.

The bar is part of a feminist plot - BAN THE BAR!

The bar across the middle was easy to work out . !
Strength for the bike and Poise, for the "chics"

Back in the days when women and wore dresses, it would be unladylike for a "chic" to cock her leg that high, and show their "girly bits" to the public.

Us "blokes", didn't give a "rats" back even then.

I would have woken up too! That's unpleasant.

So what happened?

I'm embarassed to say but I was starting on my evening ride after dinner and was taken out by a kid coming home from football practice on his BMX bike - of course still in his full uniform less the spikes. He cut the corner and took out the front wheel of my 10-speed sending me over the handlebars and into the pavement. I managed to walk the bike the one block back home and then collapsed. I had a concussion that left me with short term memory loss for half a semester and received 8 stitches in the back of my head. The kid on the BMX bike - completely unscathed with no damage to his bike or person!
