A friend of an ol'e classmate sent my wife and son a knife. Ulu knife is made from a round circular blade from and Alaskan Fish factory ship.. He said it would probably never need sharpening,as there made to cut hundreds of thousands of fish. I guess I'll test that theory. LOL
For my son he made a bone knife, carved from the front leg of a whitetail deer. twords the tip he carved the mountan range he sees out his front window and the handle area, he carved a grizzly bear head. The big momma griz he says, likes to take a shortcut through his back yard .Now I just need to ship him a few deerbones for traid. I think thats a prety good deal..... if I do say so myself :)

Very cool presents. One of my shooting buddies gave me a WWII Kabar fighting knife for Christmas. Guess I better make that trick leather quiver with the dragon carving I promised him 3 months ago...before the bow shoot next weekend!;)

Congrats. The Ulu knife is different but my favorite is the Bone Knife, mostly because it is hand carved.
I'm sure that you will enjoy both.

In the letter he sent,he said it was a circular German steel knife blade . I'm guessing a disk knife about 12" diameter. Still waiting on the county to call me to pickup a "not to badly hit" roadkill deer to test it out on. But no calls since I got the knife. Lol
