HI guys and gals I am in the market for a new rifle and the Rossi 454 caught my eye I am a big fan and owner of my marlin 45/70 does anyone own one how does it compare with 45/70 on recoil and on hunting. Hope to get some good info.

Great shooting gun..No where near the recoil that my !895 GBL has and it will shoot .45 colt too if you want to. Very accurate and fun shooting gun...I have the same one in SS....

Yes you can but i have never seen the need...here's mine

Not one problem. The action is very sweet and i love the load through the chamber or the tube option. I have only really shot it out to about 150 yards but it seems to still be quite accurate out at that distance. The 454casull is a really nice round to shoot in my opinion and i have shot some very respectable groups at 100 yards. I wish I had a target or something but sorry i don't. I really like mine and I think you will too...Best of luck and keep us posted!
