Mine has a laminated stock like the one pictured. Gives the whole gun a very solid, heavy feel. For some reason it does not feel like wood, but I like what it does feel like, even though I can't describe it.

Nice rifle. You will like it I am sure.

I see what you mean 444, I checked the.Blue Book and the 336 BL has the laminate stock. The 336 has the walnut finished birch stock, according to the Book. In that cad my brother did get a good deal! He said the tag on the rifle said 336W. His gain I reckon!!
