Its a shame theres no Bullseye.A true piece of Americana gone with Marlin now that Remington took over. You will Enjoy that rifle!

I have read that the bulleyes was used as a trademark,for easy identification while on the sales rack.
And that the bulleye was used to cover a hole on the bottom that was drilled to use for being milled

At least we know it was not meant for a pilot hole for a sling swivel:D
