Nice Texan, did it come with the scope ??
Yes it's A monoscope made in Japan. The last Marlin I bought at this store had A monoscope on it also. Never heard of them. probably for good reason.
I wonder if both rifles belonged to the same guy. The other was A 1958 336SD.
Nice rifle in a great cartridge.
You done good.
Let us know how it shoots.
Gater you been on a roll with them Marlins brother!;)
Very purdy, pardner.
Gater you been on a roll with them Marlins brother!;)

I keep saying I am not buying any more unless it's something special.
And I keep finding something special. At least for the price.
I don't have A .444 or .375 yet. ;)
A 35 rem???

Gater, I recall you telling me not even 2 months ago that you didn't want a 35..

and I quote you!!!

I do not like 35 rem in the file.I do not like them in any style.I will not take them fried or boiled.I will not take them poached or broiled.I will not take them soft or scrambled,Despite an argument well-rambled.No fan I am of the 35 rem at hand. You should send that 35 texan to your pal Scott! Today! Today!Today I say!Without delay!

Gaterskiner,
Is this true? :D
I have said that the .35 Rem makes A durn fine Squirrel rifle. And has been known to bounce off Deer. I also told Scott I did not need A .35 rem as I already had it's big brother the .356 Win. So that is not A direct quote.
I'm still not sure why I wanted it, but it is COOL!

In fact I think Scotts .35 Rem was bouncing off Deer this season. Didn't see any pics.
Gater,
....Ouch!!!

Plumber,
Welcome to MarlinForum!!! :)
I always liked blondes and brunettes and said I`d never want a redhead, but one day there she was:D
Thanks for the welcome Austin, and mainecat. Are you the same mainecat that's #7 of Team 32 special?

Something special. What could be more (special) than a 32 special?
I think you should start looking for that (special) 336.
Nice catch Gator. If this one's bullets bounce off deer like Scott's you can always use it to prop a door open.:D

What scope base is that? Looks even longer than the Leupold 1-piece I have for my 336TS. That scope is snugged down tight on the barrel. I can't tell if the rear sight is still there or if it is removed.
