Just bought a 795. Haven't got to shoot it yet. Can't wait. I like how light it is compared to my sears modal 25 I have that use to be my grandpas.

I don't...I own the 1895 GBL so we are miles away in caliber. Someone will come along though...many of the guys in here have a ton of experience with all Marlin models.

First of all, welcome home.... I, as well a a lot of the others here have many, too many Marlins. The 795 is a great rifle to take a little one shooting. You and your little one will have a blast with it. Safe shooting and have fun.
