... hello guys, i'm the latest newb' here is suppose, lol, but hello everyone ... i have also just purchased a New Marlin(REP stamped)1895SBL 45/70 and i must say this is a wonderful looking rifle, my step father has had a "family kept" lever action from my grasp for most of my life now (lol) so i decided to buy one of my own and 1-up him, lol ... ... i've shot 1 box of 20 through the gun, and it has no issues, and the only complaint i have is the feed/door area has a small edge to it, but i fixed that before i shot it with my dremel and some sanding rolls, then polished the area with a cross-buff, so it's nice and smooth now ... ... i have a cheap Barska scope on it, as i didn't have much money after the purchase to get a really nice scope for it, but maybe later ... ... my next box of ammo will be the "Buffalo-Bore" brand, as we are anxious to shoot those ...
Welcome to the Marlin Forum. Very nice rifle. Should give you many years of pleasure. My favorite is the Stainless with the Salt & Pepper stock. Both beautiful and practical.
... lol, funny, that's what i said when i saw it in the store !!! ... ... i had to have it ... ... but thank you ...
