The Mossy 835 is a good shotgun. Mine is an older one with wood stock. My grand sons is a newer one with composite stock and a little shorter barrel. Both pattern great and are dangerous to Thunder Chickens and bring home Turkeys/Hams/Bacon at Turkey shoots. The bore on an 835 is almost a 10Ga. Carsons likes Fiochi 2.5" and mine Federal 3" We both carry a 3.5" in the tube as 2nd shot backup.

They are out and about with the good weather. Acorn crop was good last year so should be plenty in the woods.
