Hello. I just picked up a new XT22TR yesterday, and this is my first rifle, Marlin, AND new firearm! Im used to old handguns. Is there any breakin procdure I should folow other then a clean/lube? Any types of ammo I should be using to brake it in? Any other advice for me at all? Thanks!

Shoot away, clean after. Sometime a gun shots better after a few 100 rounds and its best to buy several different types of ammo and see which ones your new rifle like to eat.. The same gun with the same bullets don't always work the same.No two guns are the same.

I will run my new .22 Marlin in, when I get it.
Gotta get the "burs" out of the barrel.

A clean after each 5 shots, for the first 1/2 packet, will probably be enuf, and then when you get home after that.

Cheers
Bucky

thats kind of what I was planning. Clean and lube at first. Shoot 5-10 rounds. Do a quick clean, another 5-10 rounds.... etc.. then a goon clean and lube after Im done for the day.
