According to my serial number my 444 was made 1994... I have no stamp of any kind on my barrel.. what gives???

I worked at GM and some times thing like that are missed the stamp machine might have gone down or stopped.
I would call Marlin with the serial number. I'm willing to bet that yours is not the only one.

I just got my first 336, according to the serial number it was made in 1978 but has no JM stamp

I've heard several times about the stamp being missing on Marlins. I have one that you can make out only half of the 'M'.
