Picked this up today from a guy at work. Its a Marlin 1894S .44mag. Picked it up for $200.00 . Its in 90% Plus condition with only a few tiny light spots of rust on the barrel which look like they will wipe right off.
Ya I almost feel bad but excited at same time. I mean it sucks when people need money but when someone approaches you with this kind of deal you just can't say no.
We took it to the range today. Fired 100 rds of .44 spc round nose and 50rds of the hornady lever revolution .44 mags. The mags shoot great but the .44 specials shoot horribly. Probably because they were cheapos. The only nice thing with the specials was you can barely feel them recoil wise so it was great for my wife.
I got some more ammo today woohoo. Go figure it's raining. Guess ill have to wait to shoot. Picked up the rem UMCs 180gr and some Winchester Platinum Tip Hollow Points 250gr.
