RCBS Uniflow versus Redding Master powder measure.
I set up a second Uniflow in pistol configuration and changed the rifle micrometer to pistol in the Redding. The only real difference between the two is that it is very fast and easy to switch the Redding back and forth from rifle to pistol.
Used in testing:
CFE Pistol
380 ACP brass
45 ACP brass
AWS digital scale
Loaded 100 total rounds of 380. 1/2 using the RCBS and 1/2 using the Redding. Both metering rods were set at 3.5 grains. Random weight checks were taken from each batch before loading.
100 rounds of 45 ACP were loaded at 6.5 grains. Random weight checks were taken before loading.
As with the first test in rifle configuration, both measures were very consistent and within .1 grain at every check.
Again I will say that they are too similar to call one better than the other.
