Question here, would you consider the rear differential part of the drive train??

Apparently the dealership says no.

Yeah, I would consider either front or rear differential as part of the drive train. What sort of "explanation" is the dealership giving you?

Yes. I would think that was part of the drivetrain. Drivetrain is a list of components that work with the motor to make the wheels turn. Includes the transmission, drive shaft, differential, axles, wheels.

I bought a car with a warranty of course he didn't want to pay for a differential gasket or seal.I argued with him and told him that it most certainly it is.
He said that it wasn't leaking. It surprised me that he did cover a new serpentine belt
