Remove the X7 stock tabs or no?

    To clafify when you remove stock they are to "pads" that contact the barrel. What do you guys think? I'm reading conflicting reports on it. This forum seems no and another says yes. Anyone done it that can report for sure on it?
    Looks to be as simple as sand paper and lil elbow grease.

    Those are "Pillar Bedding" posts for the barrel. A different animal than action bedding. My X7VH in .223 still has them and shoots great...as does the .308. If you remove them then you have a "Free Floating" barrel and will probley have to bed the action as it will no longer fit as tight. Unless you do it yourself can be an expensive process if done by a competent smith. If done bad...NOT GOOD.

    I would shoot it first and see how it does before making any modifications.

    It shoots good. You would think if it would improve it the factory would have done it to start with
