Opinions are like....you know. This news doesn't affect me directly because I never buy steel or berdan primed ammo. I still consider it an infringement on our rights. But what is it about Russian ammo specifically? Why aren't they banning all imported ammo? Do the numb nuts think it's military grade ammo and somehow more powerful?

Hornady is the only US one I’m aware. Not that I ever bought any or know what that idiot shoots.

Hornady imports the steel cases from Russia. The rest of the components are made in the USA.

Do you think the ammo ban will prevent importation of cases? Either way I think demand for the cartridge will remain high enough that someone fills the void....you just won't find it dirt cheap anymore. I don't have a ton of 7.62 x 39 ammo but it's all US brass case, boxer prime, and cost almost as much as 7.62 NATO. Freebie is so cheap he'll probably hoard whatever he's got. Have you ever seen a black guy at a shooting range? It's like they think they're all expert Marksmen and never need any practice.

Based on this Evil Administration, I would say most likely. They are punishing US gunowners for what a Russian Spy did to another Russian in Europe. Do you really think they can't shift from the US market, to maybe the terrorist states like Asskrackistan and Iran?

I was just thinking, after CA banned ammo importation we were still able to buy components. Learned some imported 5.45 is actually made in the Ukraine instead of Russian. Also looked around a bit and saw a few places still had some in stock if you’re willing to spend $0.50-0.65 per round. Probably won’t get any cheaper for quite some time.

Yeah, terrorist nations never seem to have a problem getting arms and ammo. Some countries are so stupid they just give their $h!t away, courtesy of US tax payers. Isn’t it great to live in country whose administration funds terrorism?
