Yeah, I lived on the peninsula for a few years too in the late 60's & that area was THE place to be back then. Wouldn't wanna be there now for reasons stated.

I would think that making gun owners pay for insurance would be unconstitutional. If not then it should include knives, forks, cocaine, weed....etc. too.

It's also a defacto gun registration. I'm sure bad guys would like to have access to that list so they know which homes to rob. If they knew what kind of dog I owned they'd probably want liability insurance for her too.

Yeah, I left the area in 1970 only to return in 1977 to work over the hill from there at Livermore Lab. Pretty hot there compared to the peninsula.

And you're right about the ladies in that area. They are (well, were) some real cuties.

I think the craziest part of this is they're threatening confiscation for those who won't comply.
1. How do they know who owns what?
2. Who complied and who didn't?
3. How do they plan to enforce confiscation?
4. It's just like Feinstein's, "If I could have got 51 votes in the Senate, I would have done it. Mr and Mrs America, turn 'em all in." They're so arrogant, they think their "subjects" will comply.

For those who don't know her, Lauren Boebert is a newly elected member in Congress who is very pro gun.

California has had registration of handguns for decades. Registration of long guns starting in 2014. Those records are available through Ca DOJ, who maintain the records.

Makes you think twice about ever owning a firearm that requires registration, eh?
