I haven't got to shoot it much yet but the initial test firing at 100 yards surprised me. No pictures of the target yet...I will save that for when I get homed in. But, here's what the new addition looks like

I stretched the budget a bit to get that rifle but I saw it and had to have it. It was exactly what I was lookin for. (It was exactly as I pictured it in my head.) I He knows my weaknesses. This time He gave me what I wanted. Now I have to pay for it. And that is where the problem lies. hehe. He gave me a mountain to climb this time...money wise. Now I have to get all the trimmings...

Things are looking up. Spoon told me about the Sierra factory near him so finally today I went to look at the link. I found a link for finding places to shoot. What a gold mine. Public ranges and clubs are listed within 30 miles of me and one less than 3 miles. It offers a 200 yard range for cf rifles, plus handguns and skeet/trap. Almost all have up to 200 yard ranges and one, the one I want to join first offers senior discount and has up to 500 yards. It is a bit farther away than the rest of the ranges but it has what I need for range. Eventually when I am a better shooter I will want to try my luck over 200 yards. Cant wait to git er done. I would be out there today but the closest one is a private club. And Saturday is membership day but I missed the time slot. I will git there. And then I can shoot some holes, preferably one...and some photos.

Nice set up Hombre. I to am a .308 savage owner. It shoots well..It started as a 7-08 but I re-barreled to .308 It was very easy to do. If you ever need a go gauge or action wrench let me know and I`ll send them to you to use....Prayers brother
