True..

i remember years ago when the dragunov was still a big mystery rifle and there was a reward out to find one of those things. Think i read it in soldier of fortune -late '70s, maybe early '80s?
you are quite correct, they are hens teeth in america now as that one is a preban and it is original from yugoslavia not a used parts build guns i have papers on it and all.pictures do not do it justice. The thing is long and shoots 7.62x54r which would make anyones day a bad day even out to 800 yards or so thank you.

I had an opportunity to snag a Drugonov tiger for $600.00 I kick myself for not snagging it but didn't really have the money for it. I should have found the money. From what I've "heard" there was only a 1000 imported into the US. Go figure I'd miss out on that one if its true lol.

the dragonuv tiger is the russian made one completely different than the romanian one.more presice and a bit more delicate but more accurate.600 bucks was like they where giving that gun to you.the bores are always good because they don`t put alot of bullets down range and the bore is chrome lined, if you can even find a russian tiger and that is a big if, they start even beat up at over 4k.it was more like 10k imported but i have not heard of one being sold or saw one in years and years they are all in the back of some guys safe with him knowing he has gold on his hand. My dragonuv is rare and worth money but a tiger makes it look like a piece of garbage worth nothing.it is a shame you did not pick that gun up.what a piece of history that gun has.in russia in ww2 they had 1,500 women snipers who had so many german kills they where given a mosin nagant 91/30 the real long ones.i used to buy them for 35 bucks a pop brand new, back on subject.91/30 with a simple 4x pu scope and these women where the best shots and out of the 1,500 only 500 or so lived and they told their stories but the woman had a tiger and said it was the finest weapons ever made.if you are interested about the women snipers in russia they show it on the military history channel or you can go on the website and order it.very interesting.sorry to hear you did not pic it up.i know exactly what it looks like but it would be nice to see a picture of someone really having one.i have many rare and unusual collectible firearms but i have been searching for one, hoping it was in a grandfathers closet and the grandson who knew nothing about guns wants 400 bucks for it.believe me things like that are out there

Oh great now I feel worse that I didn't get it. :( he also sold my father in law a 44 mag desert eagle for $600.00. This guys dad was a firearm dealer. He sold all this so cheap to bail out a loser girlfriend. Then she cheated on him and left lol. He's an idiot.

hey man i did not mean to bring up a sore subject. I just know how much those guns go for and if you had that gun and posted it i would be in awe, i am truly sorry if the post got you upset in any way.i was mad for you.you where kicking yourself for not picking it up, i feel your pain and i have done it a couple times but not too many people even know russia made a dragonuv tiger.i have looked over a gun i really wanted and had to have for my collection and it was already gone and i beat myself up about it.i just wanted you to get it. If i poured salt in the wound i am sorry.i will make it up to you. If you are ever in florida you can shoot any firearm i have and as much ammo as you want.it is on me.i am sure you would pick the rpk for the full auto factor but i have a ton of guns with cool factor.

Its cool. Just sucks ya know. At least I got to shoot it :). I knew it was worth more but thought it was like 1500.00 lol. He brought it to a local gun shop to get it appraised and I guess they screwed him cause that's all they told him it was worth was $600.00. So he brought it to my house and gave me first dibs. I didn't take it so he went back and sold it to them for the 600.00. It was chambered in 7.62 X 54R and had a wood stock with a synthetic or blackened forearm. It was different that's why I wanted it. If I had any idea on what it would be worth today I wouldn't have cared what my wife said haha.

yup that`s the gun.you had the real deal my brother that is the russian tiger and 7.62x54r is a badass round 1,000 yard gun easily. i owned a gunshop for nine years and i would have offered you more than that"of course it would go right into my safe, lol".that was the real deal man.it would have been cool if you still had it but life happens and when you got bills to pay and kids to feed.i have many, many connections,i am sure you have seen a couple of my guns i will keep an eye out for you.i do have 2 dragonuvs believe it or not knowing how much they are worth if i am ever going to part with one you will be the first to know for sure.we all miss out sometimes but that was the infamous tiger for sure, you told me about the forearm and i knew for sure 100%
