I submitted my bids for 8 different Marlin/Glenfield rifles, 2 S&W revolvers and 1 Beretta pistol. Marlin: 336RC (30-30 from 1952), 1894 (in .44 from 1978), 783 (just barrel and bolt from 1975), 57M (1966) 39A Mountie (1961), 60 (1988) Glenfield: 30 (30-30 from 1970) and a squirrel 60 (1980) S&W: Model 10-5 (5") and 66-1 (4") Beretta: 948 (22LR) I seriously low balled all bids, if I get any of them, they are great deals. None of them jumped out at me as gotta have them, hence the low bids. If anything, I'll most likely win the 57M. I'll find out next Wednesday.
I got a 1980 Glenfield Model 60, nice squirrel stock, for $69 out the door and a new fixed blade knife I thought was cool for $34.50 out the door. Missed another model 60 by $3, a 1970 Gelnfield 30 by $10, and a 783 barrel and bolt by $5. Everything else I was way low.
Good deal, Mon! All you can do is bid what you're willing to pay. I'm glad it worked out partially for you anyway!
I just submitted my bids for a 1976 Marlin 336 in .30-30 and a 1979 39A Golden. Auction is Saturday, but they are silent items so I'll find out Wednesday morning.
Next Auction is this Saturday. Dropped off my bid today for a 1960 Model 39A Mountie, two 1974 Glenfield Model 60s, both with oak leaf stocks and a lot of M1 Carbine magazines.
Got nothing. Missed the Mountie by $50, the M1 magazines by $55 (I had no idea on these), the 1st Glenfield 60 by $17 and the 2nd by $25. Next auction in November.
Next auction is this weekend. Put the bids in on a 1964 (Z serial prefix) 39A Mountie and three Model 60s. One is a 60SB with a broken trigger guard the other 2 are '85 and '89 so long barrel, full length tube and lsho. One still has the "Inspected by Phil" sticker on it. Will find out next Wednesday Otherwise the hunt continues for a pre-lock, 4" barrel, 3-T's S&W Model 15 or 19
Tell me about it. There is a pristine 15 no dash in the auction, box, papers, tools, 4" with 3'T and it doesn't even have a turn ring. Estimated at $800-$1200, and then there is the buyer's premium of +15% on top. Too expensive for what I want it for There are 2 other 15-2's but the cylinder rattles on one and someone etched their initials on the trigger guard and hacked up the left stock for homemade finger grooves on the other one. Neither has the TT or TH and will still be too much with the 15% on top
Got the '85 Marlin Model 60, nothing else. It will be $92 out the door. Will pick it up tomorrow and find out how much I missed the others by.
Will do, missed a '89 Marlin 60 by $2 and a '98 Marlin 60SB by $3. Missed the '64 Mountie by a lot - sold for $550 plus 15%
