Ok, I'm sure there is a thread i have not found about this but I'm going to ask anyway. I have a new 1895 45-70 and want to get a nice sling scabbard and cartridge belt. Anyone have any suggestions for someone who does QUALITY LEATHER WORK? I dont care where they are at. I just want it made well and look unique.

Cool. I have yet to even fire it and its killing me. Cant hunt anything with it in ohio except fricken squirrel. But always wanted one and got lucky and won it but i dont want some cheap ass plastic sling or some high tech comfy padded space age crap, i want what should be on it.....well tooled leather.

I choose the Double Diamond Butt Cuff Ammunition carrier (http://www.diamonddcustomleather.com/Rifle_Butt_Cuff.php) because it carried six rounds (a full magazine for my 1895GBL). I'm really happy with it! Good leather and stitching. I choose a Montana Gun Sling in 1.25" (http://www.montanagunslings.com/Brown-1-1-4-Inch-Sling-Sewn.html) because of it's simplistic design an no screws. For a saddle scabbard, I use a Triple K (http://www.triplek.com/Products/id/38/grp/65/prd/106/) leather Rifle Scabbard.

Hope this helped!
