I have oh a few S&W revolvers and I like them especially My Old 629 CLASSIC in .44 Mag but most of the time when Hunting or something to carry in the truck usually going Hunting lol. I bring along a Ruger Stainless Security Six in .357 Mag. I just feel better about it when using HOT loads. Very Accurate and Tough as a Tank.
But I do keep either the 629 CLASSIC or the Old style 629 with me just in case.
Yes I like the .44 Mag a very versatile round if one re-loads.
I will add that at times I also bring along a Ruger Old Army Stainless. Fun pistol to shoot and accurate and do not anyone fool you as with a full load it will drop a Hog.
