Hot Dawg & Dadblast it! I hope the MDC & USFWS along with a good "Hanging Judge" hearing these cases breaks it off in these fellas with Furr'n sounding names!

I'm gonna try making some "CAVIAR" this year if I can latch onto one of them big old sow fish. I don't plan on selling one egg. I was figuring it to be a unique gift idea for friends and family that have the guts or gumption to try it. "Cute" little 2 oz glass jars with special salt-resistant lids are on order. Tomorrow is opening day and it'll be a mad house with the high temp around 77 degrees in Warsaw tomorrow.

I'm gonna go burn some powder with my young Army buddy that recently returned from Afghanistan and his dad. We're gonna give the paddlefish a couple of weeks to increase their chances to get further upstream in bunches before we head down to try our hand at putting one or several of these prehistoric fish in the boat. There's not a bone in their body and the meat is tasty! One fish will make a pretty good fish fry for several folks. My craving for fish may take me to the Lake of the Ozarks and see how many crappie are hanging around our daughter's big boat dock:p

Anywho...be prepared to be a bit pizz'd  at these game thieves!

I'll have to read it later Spoon. It's getting close to my bed time and I don't want my blood pressure to boil over.

Austin - At $30-35 per ounce...like the old price of gold...money to be made fairly easily...IF a person didn't get caught. Not worth the trouble this bunch of thieves are looking at! 10 to more than 20 lbs of roe in "catch able" sized females. Take some loss from the roe sacs for cleaning and breakage to get a net figure. My calculator shows one nice 65# fish is over $5000 easily for the salted eggs! The 'Catfish Cops' in MO on the upper reaches of the Lake of the Ozarks and on the Osage River above Truman Lake are very mindful about the disposition of roe from these fish...downright suspicious even and rightfully so! Most of the sportsman's roe go to waste. If you use a cleaning station on the bank...the remains get "recycled" by the other fish and turtles.
