I took this to a gun show to try and find any info on it. People just scratched their heads. No markings. Rifle looks to have been unfinished possibly a prototype? 410 shells do not cycle properly gun does fire though.From what I understand Marlin never made a 410 pump. Hopefully someone here can give me some insight on this. Thanks

I cut down a 2 1/2 empty shell to 2 inch and cycles fine the receiver port is 2 1/2 inches. I'm leaning toward this being a winchester prototype looks very similar to a 42 pump. Could this be an earlier 2 inch version the company decided not to make?
