I will try to post pics later, but we have very weak internet here. I bought the gun yesterday, and it has been in a pawn shop for a long time. Barrel is marked with all the info. 36 RC, 30-30. Receiver only has the serial#, on the bottom near the forend. Gun has straight stock with crescent buttplate, and 20" barrel. Also has the short magazine tube. I know that around 1945, Marlin was making a few different variations for returning troops. The lever is straight, matching up with the straight stock. Curious if this was an 1893 that was converted with a 36 barrel and mag tube? Thanks for any input!
