Hi all-

Short version: I’m looking for a 336 XLR in .35.

Long version: I’ve had a 336 XLR in 3030 since about 2007. My grandfather had a Remington model 141 in 35 that was his prized possession and ended up going to me when he passed away. The effect a 35 has on a white tail compared to a 3030 is not even close. I VASTLY prefer the 35 caliber for the kind of hunting we do.

I’ve had grandpa‘s gun professionally re-blued by Remington dealer but can’t bring myself to refinish the wood because it has all the wear marks from 70 years of him hunting. Accordingly, his is no good for all weather use. I love the 336 XLR and I am at the point where I want to get rid of my 336 XLR in 3030 and buy one in 35, partly because I prefer it and partly as an homage to grandpa.

Any chance one of you lovely gents has one sitting unloved in a safe you would be willing to part with?
