Congratulations on your nice Marlin. Getting parts for this obsolete Marlin is going to be tough. Maybe they will become available again when Ruger starts making the model 336 again. Good luck.

Thank you. I’m kind of surprised no one has a a screw I could buy. I’ll probably just drill it and use and easy out. Then try to find something similar that will match.

I acquired my Fathers 336 that I’ve been drooling over since I can remember. The pistol grip screw is damaged and the cap is spinning. I’d like to replace with a factory part if I need to purchased the cap with screw I’m open to that as well. Since half of the fastener is sheared off I might have to get “creative” to remove. I’m also looking for the 4 screws that go on top of the receiver. There was a scope mount attached and want to run iron sight for a while. Thank you! I can’t wait to get this thing to 100%.

Check EBay 336 parts are quite common.

I checked with Numrich and that part was listed as unavailable. Also Jacks First gun shop. They don't reproduce that part. Ebay or GunBroker may be your best options. You will just have to check in often and be patient.
